State Representative Cherelle Parker will hold her annual 22nd Ward Town Meeting on Thursday evening, April 16th, at 7:00 PM, at the Brossman Center on the campus of the Lutheran Theological Seminary, (7301 Germantown Ave.).
These meetings, held in each Ward of the Representative’s District, give attendees a chance to hear from Rep. Parker about the proposed Statebudget, pending legislation, & other pertinent matters.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions & share your concernsabout issues here in Northwest Philadelphia. With the mayoral primary coming up, info about the State budget could help inform our choice of a candidate, as the budget will impact public education, property & wage taxes, & other important aspects of life in the City.
There will be representatives from over 30 agencies, who can provideinfo about City, State & Federal resources. Among these will be the 14th Police District, the Fire Department, L&I, PECO, the Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging, PennDOT, the Department of Human Services……..& many more.
The event is open to the public, & it’s a good way to get information about government & other services. (And you don’t have to live in the 22nd Ward to attend!)
