PHILADELPHIA – Roadway maintenance is scheduled for Cresheim Valley Drive overnight Wednesday, October 2nd, announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams. Temporary roadway restrictions are in effect from 10:00 p.m., Wednesday through 5:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3rd on Cresheim Valley Drive between Germantown Avenue and Allens Lane. Work is weather-permitting, and if completed sooner than expected will result in the opening of Cresheim Valley Drive ahead of schedule.
Alternate routes for this stretch of roadway include McCallum Street and Mermaid Lane or Lincoln Drive and Mt. Pleasant Avenue. Detour routes will not be posted. The temporary closure will allow City employees to safely make repairs to the guiderail and trim the trees along the winding stretch of road. This work has been scheduled for overnight hours in order to expedite the repairs and minimize the disruption to motorists.
For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The Streets Department thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
