EMAN Annual Meeting

Reminders From Your Community Association: EMAN's Annual Meeting/Elections will take place on Monday evening, June 13th at 7:00 PM, in Hagan Amphitheater on the campus of the Lutheran Theological Seminary (7301 Germantown Ave). It's EMAN's 50th Anniversary this year, & we've planned some special speakers who will highlight some of the work we've done over the decades to "make a good community better".

  • LTSP President Dr. David Lose will welcome us to the campus (EMAN's home for many years), & briefly address the current situation at LTSP (which has been the subject of much neighborhood chatter & speculation).

  • Joe Waldo, Executive Director of Urban Resources Development Corp., a nonprofit that helps low-income & elder residents make needed repairs & remain in their homes, will tell us how a 2015 grant from our EMAN Community Fund has assisted several residents who had no other sources of help.

  • Hon. Derek Green, City Council at Large, is a former EMAN President & Zoning Chair, who served on our Board for many years. Councilman Green worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood, & will share his views on why community associations like EMAN remain relevant.

A new slate of officers will be presented for a vote. We are looking for a few new Board members, & nominations can be made from the floor.

We hope you'll join us!

It's not too late to support EMAN by treating yourself to a Negroni cocktail at Earth Bread & Brewery! Generous owners Peggy Zwerver & Tom Baker have designated us the recipient of $1 for every Negroni ordered, now through June 11th.
