The East Mount Airy Neighbors (EMAN) Community Fund strategically supports nonprofits located in or serving East Mount Airy that are actively providing innovative and sustainable programs to improve the health, welfare and quality of life for Northwest Philadelphia communities.
The four priority areas for the fund are:

For nonprofits serving this community
Priority given to
Organizations located in or serving the EMAN neighborhood (bounded by Stenton Avenue, Washington Lane, Germantown Avenue and Cresheim Valley Drive).
At least 25% of program clients must live in the East Mt. Airy Neighborhood.
Priority will be given to:
Organizations serving the south end of East Mt Airy, especially between Pleasant Street and Washington Lane
Delivering programs that align with "Mt. Airy 2025" goals/strategies
Organizations serving people with disabilities
Operating budget under $4 million
501c3 status (or those with a fiscal sponsor who has 501c3 status)
One year of financial data
Amount of Grants
$5,000 to $50,000

The fund will support work in four priority areas: aging, building community, children and youth, and mental health and intellectual disabilities.

East Mount Airy Neighbors Grants Process
Step 1. Determine Eligibility
Carefully review the criteria listed above and on the Letter of Interest application: This grant opportunity is ONLY for organizations located in or serving Northwest Philadelphia, with a priority for the area represented by EMAN (bounded by Stenton Avenue, Washington Lane, Germantown Avenue and Cresheim Valley Drive).
Step 2. Apply
Complete the Letter of Interest Application.
Step 3. Follow Up
Organizations submitting successful Letters of Interest will be invited to submit a full application.
Step 4. Report
Please submit a one page narrative report detailing how the funds were used and the impact on your organization.
